Monroe/Triangle Lake has a real challenge coming up -- the hardest it has met all year. It is set to face off against Santiam in a playoff match this Saturday at 11:00 AM. Santiam will need to watch out since Monroe/Triangle Lake has posted big point totals in its previous five matchups.
Monroe/Triangle Lake didn't have too many spare points last week in its contest with Knappa, but it still walked away with a 47 - 42 win.
Meanwhile, Santiam kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. It won a game last week that couldn't get any closer, slipping by St. Paul 23 - 22. The outcome was a definite jolt of excitement for Santiam after its previous game, where the margin was anything but close.
Their wins bumped Monroe/Triangle Lake to 9-1 and Santiam to 11-1. Santiam and Monroe/Triangle Lake will be experiencing extra pressure in this one since they are each in the midst of a winning streak (Santiam with seven wins, Monroe/Triangle Lake with eight).
