Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Beats Marysville for Their Third Straight Victory

Wheatland extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Noah Xiong. The Pirates put the hurt on the Marysville Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Xiong, who had 12 digs and eight aces. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times he's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-3.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wheatland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Yang, who had 22 assists. That's the most assists Yang has posted since back in March.

Wheatland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marysville only served two aces.

Wheatland now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Marysville, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Bear River on the 23rd. As for Marysville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Center on the 23rd.
