Basketball Recap: Ellis Takes a Loss

Ellis played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-33 loss at the hands of the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs. The Railroaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Monarchs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Ellis' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellis will challenge Smith Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will take on Hill City at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Thomas More Prep-Marian is facing Hill City at the right time seeing as Hill City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
