Baseball Game Preview: Jones Eagles vs. Lindblom Eagles

For the second straight game, Jones will face off against Lindblom. Jones will take on Lindblom at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Jones will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Lindblom on Monday. Jones was the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over Lindblom. Jones not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28th (when they won 13-3).

Jones got a great performance from Gabe Manier as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Manier has become a key player for Jones: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 9-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Christophe DeWijkerslooth was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 13 matchups. Antonio Macedo was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Jones moved to 11-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lindblom, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.
