Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Marana + How To Watch

Marana had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the West Point Dragons. The Tigers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Dragons, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Marana walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia Maytorena, who had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

Marana's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for West Point, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Marana will head out to square off against Rincon/University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for West Point, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
