Football Game Preview: Front Range Christian Falcons vs. Clear Creek Golddiggers

The Front Range Christian Falcons will square off against the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Front Range Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Belleview Christian 62-8. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-0.

Front Range Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corbin Rounds, who rushed for 135 yards and three scores on only seven carries. Rounds is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Lawson Edwards, who rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Front Range Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dawid Eifling and Grayson Murry. Eifling got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 64-20 victory over Justice. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golddiggers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Phoenix are ranked 64th).

Front Range Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Clear Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Front Range Christian suffered a grim 48-22 defeat to Clear Creek when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 40-0.
