Basketball Recap: Interlake Skates Past Lindbergh with Ease

Interlake came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Lindbergh Eagles to the tune of 83-38. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Interlake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Harper Moore, who went 12 for 23 on her way to 29 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Moore's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Shaw, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals.

Interlake is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Lindbergh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interlake will square off against Vashon Island at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Interlake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lindbergh, they will challenge Cedarcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
