Rocky Mountain Prep SMART had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Lincoln Lancers by a score of 3-1 on Friday. This was payback for the Ocelotls, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-27, 25-17.

Alessandra Irazoque paced Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's offense, picking up eight kills. Irazoque got some help from Sofia Ordonez and her 11 assists. Irazoque was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Lincoln, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART will head out to challenge Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to face off against Denver West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Lancers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
