Basketball Recap: Page Comes Up Short on the Road Against Show Low

Page kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Show Low Cougars by a score of 60-58. The Sand Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Page's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joey Benally, who posted 22 points in addition to six boards and four steals, and Max Reid, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Reid, who put up eight points and seven rebounds.

Coming up, Page will venture away from home to square off against Kirtland Central at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Show Low, they will welcome Payson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
