Volleyball Game Preview: Southern Wells Raiders vs. Woodlan Warriors

Southern Wells is 0-10 against Woodlan since October of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Southern Wells lost 3-0 to Jay County on Tuesday.

While Southern Wells had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Woodlan didn't have quite enough to beat Garrett on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Woodlan actually scored more points across those five sets (100-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 17-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Woodlan, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.

Southern Wells couldn't quite get it done against Woodlan in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
