Baseball Recap: Mesquite Gets the Win

Mesquite came out on top against Duncanville on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Skeeters took their matchup against the Panthers and Pantherettes 12-8. This was a revenge game for the Skeeters: when they faced off against the Panthers and Pantherettes on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Mesquite is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season. As for Duncanville, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mesquite is set to square off against their familiar foe Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Skeeters 3.7, the Indians 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Duncanville will challenge rival Cedar Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
