Soccer Recap: Mercer Island Takes Down Edmonds-Woodway in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mercer Island walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors 3-2. Mercer Island have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Edmonds-Woodway on Saturday, too.

Mercer Island is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven matches. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7-2.

As of now, neither Mercer Island nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
