Basketball Recap: Sealy Skates Past Harmony School of Innovation with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Sealy over Harmony School of Innovation in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Sealy Tigers blew the Harmony School of Innovation Wildcats out of the water with a 78-40 final score. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1498th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noah Washington continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 36 points and nine steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Javien Grant, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points along with eight steals and five assists.

Sealy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.

Sealy's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Harmony School of Innovation, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sealy will host Almeta Crawford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sealy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season. As for Harmony School of Innovation, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Royal at 6:30 p.m.
