            Softball Recap: Auburn Tigers vs. Dothan Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Auburn, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Dothan Wolves by a score of  7-4  on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Abigail Helms was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Furthermore,  she didn't allow a single  walk, the first time  she has blanked an opponent  over her last four  matches. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted  over her last seven  games.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Daley Alsobrook, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Laina Rae Sawyer was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.

Auburn's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Dothan,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-8-1.
 Coming up, Auburn will challenge Sparkman at 9:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Dothan, they will be taking part in a tournament against Whitney Young  at 12:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
