McDermitt had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Carlin Railroaders 3-0 on Friday. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Railroaders, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 27-25, 25-22.

Carlin is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

McDermitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Owyhee on the 6th. After both having extra time off, Carlin and Eureka will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
