            The Sun Valley Spartans will be taking part in a tournament against the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles  at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Sun Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three contests.
Last Monday,  the stars were shining brightly for Sun Valley in  a  61-44 victory over Forest Hills.
Sun Valley got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kaleel Benjamin out in front who  went 7 for 9  on his way to 16  points and five  rebounds.  Jaylin Powell was another key player,  putting up 11 points in addition to six  assists and five  rebounds.
 Sun Valley was working as a unit and  finished the game with 19  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Ben L. Smith faced Greensboro Day School in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Ben L. Smith took a hard  56-42 fall against Greensboro Day School. The Golden Eagles' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
 Sun Valley pushed their record up to 5-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Ben L. Smith, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 8-1.
 Sun Valley came up short against Ben L. Smith when the teams last played  back in February of 2019, falling  59-55. Can Sun Valley avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
