Recap: Hill Falcons vs. Independence 76ers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Evergreen Valley, the Hill Falcons were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 68-63 W over Independence. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Independence still got an impressive performance from Joshua Villanueva, who scored 22 points along with 7 rebounds. Villanueva scored a full 34.9% of Independence's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was William Chattmon, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Hill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Independence, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Hill will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. Independence will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Gunn at 8:00 p.m. on December 5th.
