Volleyball Game Preview: Hillsborough Baptist Lions vs. Faith Christian Academy Falcons

The Hillsborough Baptist Lions will take on the Faith Christian Academy Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillsborough Baptist has now lost eight straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 16.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hillsborough Baptist and Excel Christian Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Spartans. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-20 in the first set.

Hillsborough Baptist started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Champions Christian Academy by a score of 3-1.

Faith Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hillsborough Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Hillsborough Baptist came out on top in a nail-biter against Faith Christian Academy when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
