Soccer Recap: Diboll Comes Up Short

Diboll was the 1-1 winner over Westwood when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Diboll Lumberjacks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westwood Panthers on Friday.

Diboll dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Diboll and Westwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Diboll (ranked 638th) will meet Palestine (ranked 287th) at 5:00 p.m. on March 7th. Meanwhile, Westwood will square off against Madisonville at 5:00 p.m. on March 7th down 353 places (588 vs. 235).
