Recap: Yulee Hornets vs. First Coast Buccaneers
The Yulee Hornets suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against First Coast, falling 68-37. Yulee has struggled against First Coast recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ace Walker, who scored ten points along with two steals. Alex Naumow was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Yulee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for First Coast, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Yulee will head out on the road to take on Baldwin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for First Coast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ribault at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ribault presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than First Coast in Florida (Ribault is ranked 92nd, while First Coast is ranked 218th).
