Basketball Game Preview: Cooper Jaguars vs. St. Henry Crusaders

The Cooper Jaguars will challenge the St. Henry Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Cooper's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while St. Henry has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cooper challenged Fleming County on Saturday. Cooper walked away with a 64-51 victory over Fleming County. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Panthers are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Henry came up short against Holmes on Thursday and fell 60-47.

Cooper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for St. Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Cooper strolled past St. Henry in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 63-49. Will Cooper repeat their success, or does St. Henry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
