Basketball Game Preview: South Shore International Tars vs. Chicago Washington Patriots

The South Shore International Tars will challenge the Chicago Washington Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, everything came up roses for South Shore International against Chicago Vocational as the squad secured a 61-24 victory. The Tars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chicago Washington entered their tilt with Englewood Stem on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They escaped with a win against the Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 28-27.

Chicago Washington found their leader in freshman Kylah Sanders, who posted nine points.

Chicago Washington pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 points across that stretch. As for South Shore International, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Everything went South Shore International's way against Chicago Washington in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as South Shore International made off with a 51-31 victory.
