Football Game Recap: Mt. Blue Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brewer last Friday, Mt. Blue came back down to earth. The Mt. Blue Cougars took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gardiner Tigers on Friday. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Gary Harkins threw for 134 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Stephen Galkowski was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards. On the ground, Dane Cousineau rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 46 receiving yards.

Mt. Blue's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gardiner, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
