Baseball Recap: Hackensack Comes Up Short

Hackensack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgewood Maroons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Monday.

Aj Oates made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Hackensack's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Ridgewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackensack will face off against Indian Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgewood, they will take on Don Bosco Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
