Football Recap: Southside Extends Winning Streak to 11 + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southside had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dadeville Tigers as they made off with a 35-12 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten games by 23 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Southside's victory came down to the chemistry between Kole Moody and his top target Cedrick Simmons. Moody threw for 303 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt while Simmons picked up 183 receiving yards and one score. Moody is crushing it when it comes to passing yards: he's passed for at least 303 every time he's taken the field this season. ArMari Towns got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Southside proved: they limited Dadeville to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Kendell Wilson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Southside didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.3.

Southside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Towns and Simmons. Towns got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Dadeville still got an impressive performance from Corde Jefferson, who picked up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jefferson didn't just play on offense: he also made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

The win keeps Southside at an undefeated 11-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.2 points on average this season. As for Dadeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Southside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 39-22 win against Cottage Hill Christian Academy on the 14th. Dadeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
