Basketball Recap: Terra Ceia Christian Skates Past Unity Christian Academy with Ease

Terra Ceia Christian entered their tilt with Unity Christian Academy on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Unity Christian Academy Warriors 53-20. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly 33 points.

Leading Terra Ceia Christian to victory were Lakin Van Essendelft and Leah Harrison. Van Essendelft went 8 of 18 en route to 17 points and seven steals, while Harrison went 8 for 18 on her way to 17 points and four steals. Harrison is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Silvanna Groen also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Despite the loss, Unity Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Michelle Cole, who posted eight points and six boards.

Terra Ceia Christian pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Unity Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Terra Ceia Christian beat Unity Christian Academy by a score of 47-20 on Tuesday.
