Softball Recap: Mabel-Canton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Glenville-Emmons two weeks ago, Mabel-Canton came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Southland Rebels on Monday, falling 13-1. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mabel-Canton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Southland, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Mabel-Canton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Grand Meadow/Kingsland/LeRoy-Ostrander on the 22nd. Southland has also already played their next contest (against Houston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
