Drew Erickson commands the offense for a Saints win

Recap: Seton Catholic Central Saints vs. Union-Endicott Tigers

After losing to the Union-Endicott Tigers the last time they met, the Seton Catholic Central Saints decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Seton Catholic Central took down Union-Endicott 69-50 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Seton Catholic Central.

Seton Catholic Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Erickson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Erickson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Johnny Hopf was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.

Seton Catholic Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Union-Endicott, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chenango Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 5th. Chenango Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 76th). As for Union-Endicott, they will head out on the road to face off against Vestal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
