Oxnard had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Foothill Tech Dragons by a score of 2-0. While the Yellowjackets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Leilah McDougald paced Oxnard's offense, picking up ten kills. McDougald got some help from Maya Cunningham and her 24 assists. Mila Hernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oxnard's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Foothill Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Oxnard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against St. Bonaventure on the 30th. As for Foothill Tech, they will face off against Nordhoff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
