Softball Recap: Galatia/Thompsonville Wins Going Away Against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield

Galatia/Thompsonville hadn't done well against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Fighting Cardinals. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Kailyn Kahl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Rilynn Lindhorst was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Miley Murphy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Galatia/Thompsonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Galatia/Thompsonville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
