Basketball Recap: Manolo Vazquez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Legacy Academy over Trinity Christian

Legacy Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 80-66 to the Trinity Christian Warriors. Legacy Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Trinity Christian earlier this season, when they won 68-58.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Manolo Vazquez, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Vazquez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ozzy Toledano was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Legacy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Trinity Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Legacy Academy has already played their next contest (against Victory Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Trinity Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Garrett Memorial Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
