Softball Recap: Downingtown East Cougars vs. East Vikings

In what's become a running theme this season, Downingtown East gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against the East Vikings as the Downingtown East Cougars made off with a 12-2 victory. The win was nothing new for Downingtown East as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Rachael Schumann spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive pitching appearances.
