Basketball Recap: Durham Academy Piles Up the Points Against Discovery Charter School

Durham Academy entered their tilt with Discovery Charter School on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Discovery Charter School Trailblazers for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-36 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-19.

It was another big night for JJ Wilcox, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points. Rem Frasher was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Durham Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.2 points per game. As for Discovery Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Durham Academy and Cross will round out the year against one another at at 11:15 a.m. on December 28th. As for Discovery Charter School, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
