Softball Recap: Sebastopol Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Sebastopol ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lake Hornets by a score of 11-8. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Kadence Robertson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, one triple, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Kamdyn Busby was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

The victory got Sebastopol back to even at 2-2. As for Lake, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Looking ahead, Sebastopol will venture away from home to challenge Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Newton County at 6:30 p.m.
