Calvary Baptist Academy had won seven straight games and Bella Deel did her part to make it eight on Monday. The Patriots blew past the Elk Valley Christian Eagles 3-0 thanks in part to Deel, who had nine digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

While Calvary Baptist Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-23.

Calvary Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Elk Valley Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will take on Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Elk Valley Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ohio Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on October 3.
