Columbus has gone a perfect 9-0 against Rice Consolidated recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Columbus Cardinals will host the Rice Consolidated Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Rice Consolidated better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Columbus really get things going. Columbus' defense stepped up to hand Palacios a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Cardinals have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Palacios with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Irving Giles, Jorge Mendoza, and Jesus Mendoza.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rice Consolidated). Everything went their way against Hallettsville on Tuesday as Rice Consolidated made off with an 8-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Rice Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Columbus, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
