Baseball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County managed to slip by Spartanburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Vikings on Wednesday, falling 16-0.

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Spartanburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will head out to challenge Mountain View Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Spartanburg, they will venture away from home to square off against James F. Byrnes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.3, the Rebels 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
