Everything went their way against the Taos Tigers on Saturday as Montezuma-Cortez made off with a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.
Evan Woody was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Seth Oakes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Montezuma-Cortez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
