             The Salida Spartans will look to defend their home pitch  on Saturday against the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders  at 11:00  a.m. Salida will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak  alive.
 If Thomas MacLaren School heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Salida took over last week. Salida walked away with  a   4-2  win over Manitou Springs  on Thursday. The result kept the Spartans happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 9th.
 They hit Manitou Springs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Sam Jones (2), 
 Issac Sarmiento,  and 
 Eben Mayton.
 Meanwhile, Thomas MacLaren School was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  Loveland Classical, falling  3-0. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by  exactly three  goals.
 Salida has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record  this season. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2.
