Soccer Game Preview: Anderson vs. Muncie Burris

The Anderson Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Muncie Burris Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Anderson's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.

On Tuesday, Anderson made easy work of Connersville and carried off a 6-1 win. Given Anderson's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Connersville are ranked 205th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Muncie Burris' offense. They came up short against Greenwood Christian Academy on Saturday, falling 5-0. Muncie Burris have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Muncie Burris, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Anderson took their win against Muncie Burris when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
