Volleyball Recap: Nixon-Smiley Takes a Loss

Nixon-Smiley saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Carrizo Springs Wildcats. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Nixon-Smiley had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19.

Nixon-Smiley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Carrizo Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Nixon-Smiley has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Jones on the 21st. As for Carrizo Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Refugio on the 21st.
