It's playoff time, and John Carroll Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers with a sharp 10-3 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won five games in a row.

John Carroll Catholic got a massive performance out of Taggert Cameron, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, Cameron posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Payne, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

John Carroll Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy only posted an OBP of .276.

John Carroll Catholic pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, John Carroll Catholic will square off against Cocoa Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.5, the Minutemen 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
