Basketball Recap: Merrimack Comes Up Short

Merrimack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 59-36 to the Exeter Blue Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Tomahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Blue Hawks are ranked 20th).

Merrimack's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Exeter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Merrimack has already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Alvirne on the 12th. As for Exeter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
