Baseball Recap: Orofino Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Colfax

Orofino is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Colfax. The Maniacs fell 6-2 to the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Maniacs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Orofino saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Gilmore, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Orofino's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Colfax, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Orofino will be playing at home against Bonners Ferry at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Maniacs will need to watch out since the Badgers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Colfax, they will venture away from home to square off against Liberty at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
