Basketball Recap: Morenci Comes Up Short

The Morenci Bulldogs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 74-70 to the Colon Magi. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morenci now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Colon, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Morenci will venture away from home to take on Sand Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Colon, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against St. Philip Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
