Pickens had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lexington Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Flame have posted against the Wildcats since September 25, 2021.

Pickens' offense was headlined by Kaci Gillespie and Kentlea Davis, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Lily Clarkson and her 11 assists. Rylan Nichols controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Pickens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Nation Ford on the 27th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Blythewood on the 27th.
