Basketball Recap: Prince George?S Christian Academy Blue Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Rosedale Christian Academy the last time they met, Prince George?s Christian Academy Blue decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Prince George?s Christian Academy Blue Flyers walked away with a 66-56 win over the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers on Thursday. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Rosedale Panthers are ranked 106th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Prince George?s Christian Academy Blue's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kevin Jackson, who went 6 of 14 en route to 18 points and four steals. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wisdom Carter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Prince George?s Christian Academy Blue was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosedale Christian Academy only posted 13 assists.

Despite the loss, Rosedale Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nazir Anderson went 6 of 15 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Mercer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points per game. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
