Football Recap: Wilson Piles Up the Points Against Sotomayor

Wilson owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over the Sotomayor Wolves. The Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Anniyah Huteson, who rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 143 yards and three TDs. Samantha Escarcega also helped with two scores in total.

Wilson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Sophia Reyes was especially locked on to Sotomayor's QB and sacked her twice.

Wilson pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Sotomayor, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Wilson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-0 win against Bernstein on the 24th. As for Sotomayor, they will face off against Stern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense has only allowed five points per game this season, so the Wolves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
