Basketball Game Preview: Long Branch Green Wave vs. Red Bank Regional Bucs

The Long Branch Green Wave will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Red Bank Regional Bucs on Friday.

Long Branch came up short against Point Pleasant Beach on Saturday, falling 71-48.

Meanwhile, Red Bank Regional put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Colts Neck by a score of 55-45.

Red Bank Regional pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Long Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Long Branch was taken down by Red Bank Regional 66-39 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Long Branch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
