After starting their season with three straight games on the road, Jordan is finally coming home. They will look to take advantage of their home-field as they take on the Morningside Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Jordan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 20-16 to St. Bernard.

Jordan might have lost, but man, David Sandy was a machine: he rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Sandy wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Jordan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Morningside had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Their defense stepped up to hand Verbum Dei Jesuit a 22-0 shutout on Friday.

Mekhi Harmon was a one-man wrecking crew for Morningside as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Harmon got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 75 yards.

Morningside wouldn't let Verbum Dei Jesuit keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Morningside can thank My?Zjire Moore and Henry Guerra for forcing both of them.

Jordan's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Morningside, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
